Phang Nga

Phang Nga – The almost untouched natural paradise of Phang Nga gives you the opportunity to experience the original Thailand and transports you to a completely different world in the blink of an eye. Phang Nga is about 800 km away from the capital Bangkok and can easily be reached by plane or bus. But a day trip from Phuket or Krabi is also possible, where you can easily discover part of the Phang Nga coast in a few hours. Both on the coast and inland, the climate is wonderfully tropical. However, a trip outside the main season is also recommended, as the heat is not quite as intense, the showers are usually short and the general travel costs are much lower. Lush green nature, impressive mountains, mangrove forests and picturesque small villages characterise the image of Phang Nga. In addition, numerous dripstone caves, waterfalls and viewpoints invite you to explore.

Nature lovers can look forward to a special spectacle: between November and February, the turtles lay their eggs on both sides of the Pak Phra Channel – a truly inspiring spectacle. You can also learn a lot about the history of the Thai natives in Phang Nga. The ancient stone drawings in Wat Narai Nikayaram are just one example. A particularly fascinating site is the ancient town of Ban Thung Tuk, where you will find the ruins of Thailand's first settlers. The extensive national parks along the Andaman Sea invite you to take long boat trips through the small island groups. This perfectly showcases the rocks jutting out of the water and the country's rich flora and fauna. Especially the completely untouched Similan Islands, which together with two other islands form the Mu-Ko-Similan National Park, embody this "pure nature" atmosphere. Here you can still find the truly unspoilt beaches of Thailand. Those who prefer an active holiday can let themselves be enchanted by the unique underwater world while snorkelling or diving, or let their energies run free while rafting, trekking, hiking, climbing, golfing and fishing. Afterwards, you can relax on the beach or enjoy a traditional Thai massage.
